"You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up."

Deuteronomy 6:5-7

About Us

Sometimes I feel like my life is simple and average but when I really break it down, it's not. I am a, uh-um, thirty something mother of three four ADORABLE boys. I’ve been married nine thirteen years to an incredible man, Ian. My hobbies include..., ok, let's be real. Between being a home maker, a homeschooler, a tutor, a volunteer, a follower of Christ, a friend, a gardener, a nurse, a cook, a maid, a babysitter, a blogger, a runner and so much more, there isn't time for hobbies! And I count it all a blessing to love because Jesus Christ first loved me.

Mr. J is the love of my life for over 10 years. Like me, he juggles many hats and wears them all well. He is most proud of being a father to our three young boys and to have served in the US Army for over 10 years. When we were first married I thought marriage was about the butterfly feelings and Hollywood-type love. As the years have gone by, I realized that there is so much more to it. He has been a consistent, dependable, patient, loving and kind husband through my many changes. Ladies you know those hormones I'm talking about , wink, wink. But more importantly, he has been an example to me of Christ's love for us by always giving himself for the family.

My oldest is the typical first born. At seven years old, he's intelligent, patient, caring to his younger brothers, competitive and driven. He has been home schooled for the last three years and he loves all things science or books. So if you combine the two, he's a happy boy! He is an avid soccer player but also enjoys tennis and swimming too. He loves Dr. Seuss, Richard Scary and the Berenstain Bears books. Like ALL boys, he's obsessed with Star Wars and particularly loves watching the Clone Wars with Mr. J. I will always have a special love for JJ. We prayed and prayed, until our knees ached, for him. On December 9h, 2002, God gave us all 9lbs and 4oz of him! We truly learned what it meant to worship that day!

Nathan is our resident sweet heart. He's always asking for hugs or kisses. Can you blame him? He's the middle child and he just wants to be loved! My four year old enjoys jumping on the trampoline, painting, playing with action figures and doing anything that JJ is doing. Nathan is enjoying being a big brother and takes his job very seriously. He's always ready to entertain when the baby is fussy and is there to greet him when he wakes from a nap. God has great things in store for him, he has a very sweet heart. I wasn't sure I was ever going to have children after Nathan because that boy would not come out! But when he did, we realized we had more than enough love for two boys.

Austin also goes by "super baby". No really, he is so easy going, hardly cries and changes his own diapers. Ok, I was joking about the last part but he really is a dream baby. He is on the verge of crawling so the fun is about to begin! A dream baby with a dream birthing story. He was the easiest of my labors and coincidentally, had the least medical intervention. By the third time around, we have gathered more information and I will always wish that we would have known then (with Jacob and Nathan) what we know now. We have learned that not all births need hospitalization, circumcision is not necessary and the regimen of vaccines for each individual child holds so many untold dangers.

Baby Evan is our fourth son. He is our fun loving, snuggly, super chub baby. He will charm you with his curls, smile, and big brown eyes. He fits in nicely with all his other brothers and thinks he's one of the big boys. Now that he's 18 months old, he says some pretty cute things like, bo-bo (belly), whoa!,nigh-nigh (blankey and paci) and can sing along to his favorite "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star".
