"You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up."

Deuteronomy 6:5-7

The First Grader

"Christ His cross shall be my speed!
Teach me, dear Mamma, to read.
That I may in Scripture see
What His love hath done for me.
Teach me letters A-B-C."

He's on his way to first grade! With Kindergarten being such a success, I anticipate great things from my wonderful little man this year.

First Grade Resources

Reading and Language Arts: Veritas Press Phonics Museum First Grade, VP First Favorites reading comprehension guide and Shirley English Grammar level 1.

Oh the kinder years! It's filled with so much fun and so much promise. This will be my second time teaching kindergarten to one of my sons (and not the last). Now that I have a better idea of where we're going with their education, it's clear just how important a good foundation is.
