"You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up."

Deuteronomy 6:5-7

Toothless Wonder
The tooth fairy is about to go broke! Jacob has lost two teeth in one week while another one is still trying to fill in. I think if he looses anymore teeth, he won't have any to eat with! He's happy of course, to trade his teeth for money in his wallet.
It's interesting to have at our house, one child loosing his teeth and one child getting his teeth. While Jacob looses them, I look at Austin and am reminded that once, Jacob was a baby getting those teeth and now he's shedding them. They grow way too fast. What's left after he looses all his baby teeth? This is the final chapter of leaving behind all the baby ways and becoming a young boy. I look forward to enjoying my relationship with him when he becomes a young man but I know these days of childhood are short.  I want to everyday enjoy reading together, playing together, praying together and all those fun things when you're a kid.  I'm sure they will be gone before I know it.

  1. No worries, I hear they're still losing molars when they're 13. Nice to find your blog...we have 3 boys in common. That's fun. It's fun to see your family here. It's fun to read of another Classical Conversations family as well! God Bless.

  2. Amanda,
I can't believe you were here at my blog! I LOVE your blog. We certainly do have a lot in common and I am often encouraged by your posts. The internet is a funny thing, is it not? I am totally new to blogging and I find a lot of inspiration from you. I hope you're enjoying the break from Classical Conversations too.
